Locally heavy rainfall totals of up to 150mm have been reported to the Bureau in the headwaters of the Bradleys Gully catchment this afternoon. Significant rises are expected in Bradleys Gully at Raceview and downstream at Charleville this evening and overnight.
Heavy rainfall associated with ex-TC Yasi is continuing in the Gulf region. According to the Bureau of Meteorology, river level rises are likely in the catchments of the Leichhardt, Nicholson, Gilbert, Norman and Flinders Rivers. There’s also a severe weather warning for the Gulf and north-west and for parts of the central-west, northern Goldfields and Channel Country.
